How to Make a
5-Sided Paper Cutting

5-sided (10 repeats) fold and cut paper cutting, is one of the most popular fold and cut methods that people like to make stars, flowers.

The 5-sided folding method is a little challenge compared to the 4-sided fold and cut. But don't worry, in this page I will show you step-by-step how to fold and cut.

5-sided fold and cut will have 10 layers paper together, so the cutting should be a little bid harder than the 4 sided (8 layers) cuttings.

I designed this 5 and 6 points folding template, and found it was very easy to showing students how to fold the paper without any problems. At here I am sharing it with you for free, so you'll fold perfect paper with it and trouble free.

Steps for using the template to fold the paper

1. Follow the line fold the paper into half.		2. Find the center point at the folded side and make a crease.
3. Put the template 5 points (red corner) to the center point, as the picture 3 shows.		4. Fold the paper to the side of the template.
5. Fold the paper again to the side of the template.		6. Then fold the paper as the picture 6 showing.
7. You finished a perfect 5 points or 5 repeats folding.

After you print the pattern, you can also make the pattern bigger to fit your cutting, cut it out as the picture showing

Put the pattern onto the folded paper in the same direction.

You can draw the pattern or trace the pattern on the folded paper.

Now use the scissors and start cutting your paper. Always cut the inside lines first

Keep cutting all inside lines

The last cut is the outside line

Here is the finished cutting

Carefully open it by reverse the folding steps.
